Jarryd McLaughlin’s career at LMS has taken him a long way – from hands-on engineering work to leading operations on the other side of the world.
Starting out as a gas engineer, Jarryd built a strong technical foundation in landfill gas systems, developing a deep understanding of field balancing and combustion. That practical experience now underpins his role as Director – Operations USA, where he leads LMS Energy’s growing presence in the United States.
Relocating to support the company’s first US project, Jarryd now works across teams, disciplines and time zones to drive performance and growth.
My role is about bringing people together and making sure we’re operating effectively. It’s a mix of collaboration, problem-solving and delivering strong outcomes across our sites.
While the scale has changed, the things he values most haven’t.
“Working with a talented, collaborative team is a highlight,” he says. “There’s always a new challenge, and it’s rewarding to see the real-world impact of what we do.”
